Barbara Jean Galvan

July 27, 1939 - October 17, 2025

We are saddened at the loss of our beloved Mom, Barbara Jean Galvan (Green). Barbara was born in Irwin, California on July 27, 1939. She was living in Choctaw, Oklahoma at the time of her passing. Barbara met her husband, Ruben Frank Galvan at the A&W Root beer stand in Turlock, California. They got married on January 9, 1959. Together they went on to raise four children in Santa Clara, California and then finally in the Sacramento area where they lived for 50 years. Barbara had many job titles, but her favorite was "Mom"! The door was always open at our house and food was her love language. She was a mom to all who needed her. She loved to cook, craft, garden, feed all animals (whether she should of or not) and had many wonderful family gatherings. Barbara is survived by her four children: Carmen(Joseph), Ray(Kerri), Ruben(Jane), and Paula. Six grandchildren; Jessica, Leslee, Christopher, Steven, Olivia and Rachel. Four great grandchildren; Marlee, Cova, Wesley, and Camden. One surviving brother, Mike (Kathy) Green. One surviving sister Norma Dennison. Too many wonderful nieces and nephews to mention and a god daughter, Carrie. All of whom called her Aunt Bobbie. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ruben, mother, Geneva Green, sister, Cora Burdick, brother Gene Green and many other loved ones. She will be laid to rest at Calvery Cemetery in Citrus Heights, California with her husband. "Remember I Love You and Thank You for Everything"
