Grace M. Galvan

Grace M. Galvan, 86, of Belvidere, passed away at home peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Born in Rockford, IL, on March 22, 1939, to Joseph and Lena (Bertone) LaFranka. She married Luis Galvan in Belvidere on October 31, 1974. Grace was a woman of faith and family, dedicating her life to raising her children and grandchildren. To her family, she was described as an avid shopper, always buying a little more than necessary, just in case someone needed it. She was extremely proud of her collection of porcelain dolls, gathering hundreds from her years of traveling.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 51 years, Luis; her children, Terry Addington, Tyler Addington, Todd (Liz) Addington, Tipton ‘Chip’ Addington, Cristi (Rito) Laudicina, Chad Galvan; grandchildren, Jen, Michael, Marchello, Carly, Todd Jr., Tyler, Brittny, Hannah, Christopher, Danielle, Cody, Harlee, Elesea, Isabella, Isaiah; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father, Joseph LaFranka; mother, Lena Bertone; stepfather, Eugene Delaney; and her son, Greg Addington.

A visitation for Grace will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102. An additional visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
