Carmella Galvan Obituary
August 10, 1934 – February 12, 2026
Carmella "Dolly" (nee Nocella) Galvan, age 91, of Springfield, PA passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026. Dolly was the daughter of the late Carmina (Purificata) and Erasmo Nocella, and she was born in South Philadelphia. She graduated high school while attending Alvernia Business School.
She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Springfield, PA. She enjoyed a good game of cards or a trip to the casino, but she always got the greatest joy from being surrounded by her family. They were her world.
Dolly was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Galvan, her loving daughter, Linda, and her siblings Mary, Tony, Raymond, Rita and Antoinette.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Kathy Wise (Tom) and Lisa DiMatteo (Rocco), her cherished grandchildren, Nicole and Tommy Wise and Tyler, Kelsey, and Kaylee DiMatteo, her sweet sister-in-law, Enza, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, February 21st 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064. Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery.
