Barbara Jane Granger Garrett, 91, Fishers, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away August 14, 2025. She was born June 23, 1934, in Indianapolis to Charles Joseph Granger and Wilma Jane Sherfick Granger.

Mrs. Garrett worked several years for the MSD of Washington Township, Westfield-Washington Schools, and the MSD of Pike Township Schools. Later she worked part time for The Habig Garden Cottage.

Mrs. Garrett graduated from Broad Ripple High School and attended Depauw University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Mrs. Garrett was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Deason Garrett, brother Charles Joseph Granger, son David C. Dyar, and grandson Jake Dyar. She is survived by her sons Richard W., William F., Steven F., Thomas S., and James R. Dyar, two stepsons James D. and Ronald R. Garrett, ten grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, August 25, 2025. Memorial Gathering will be from 10:00 AM to 12 PM with the memorial service immediately following at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the donor' s favorite charity.
