Barbara Perdue George was the daughter of Robert Lee Perdue, Sr and Margaret Beatrice Abbott Perdue. She was married for 68 years to John F. George, Sr. She is survived by children, Joan Joyce (Dale), John George, Jr, Donna Newhouse (Joe) of Winston-Salem, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to be made to Faith Church, 1078 Gumtree Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107, and/or Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Visitation will be at Faith Church on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a service at Faith at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will be held at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, 530 Dobson St., Kernersville, NC 27284, after the service in the church.
