September 19, 2023, Barbara Ann Burton Gundersen, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, moved on to her next adventure during her favorite time of the day, the early morning.
Barb came into this world on May 31, 1947 in Salt Lake City Utah. She met her eternal companion at Olympus Highschool whom she would eventually marry on July 8, 1971, but not before she attended University of Utah, lived in Hawaii, became a flight attendant, and lived in New York and Denver Colorado.
She and Brian started their family in Provo Utah and grew their family to include seven kids and thirty grandchildren as they moved from Provo Utah to Torrence California to Anaheim California and finally ending up in Wenatchee Washington. She considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment.
Barbara was a woman of service and travel. She and her husband traveled to every continent of the world, and she participated in humanitarian trips that in included India, Samoa, and Kenya. She was also very active in her faith and served in the Church in many capacities throughout her life including a Church mission to Novosibirsk Russia. She touched countless lives through her ministry and was very active in the community by helping to organize days for Girls, serving with Habitat for Humanity and volunteering in the hospital for 10 years.
Her services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1621 Maiden Ln on Monday September 25th. The viewing will be at 10 am with the Funeral Service commencing at 11 am.
