Mrs. Barbara Fern Hallock of Dingmans Ferry, PA, died Monday, August 7, 2023 at Alliance Adult Living in Matamoras, PA. She was 73.
She was born March 23, 1950 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late William J. Yancey and the late Mildred Yancey.
Barbara married her loving husband, Fredrick Hallock 52 years ago. Together they built a beautiful life together, on Bruynswick rd in Wallkill, NY with their two sons. Barbara was a talented seamstress and was known to tailor clothes on short notice. She worked at many fabric stores but spent most of her career at JoAnn's Fabric in Middletown, NY. She enjoyed baking and made the best cheesecakes and Birthday cakes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved to make homemade quilts and clothing for her family. Barbara also enjoyed going camping at the beach. Barbara was a dedicated, 40-year member of Grahams United Presbyterian Church in Pine Bush, NY. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are, her loving husband of 52 years, Fredrick Hallock; two loving sons, Scott M. Hallock and Robert M. Hallock; Her siblings, William Yancey and his wife Jeanne and her sister, Patricia Workowski, and her husband Ralph; Her beloved grandchildren, Cyrus D. Hallock and Cassidy Hallock. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Yancey. There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private. Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.
