Barbara Jean "Barbie" Halverson

Barbara Jean Halverson, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services where she had been residing.
Born November 18, 1939, in Wisconsin, Barbie was a daughter of the late Eugene and Ester Lenhart Capelle. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High in 1958.
Barbie was a homemaker who also would volunteer as a caregiver for newborn babies waiting to be adopted for many years. Everyone knew Barbie from Northstar Bar, where she was a proprietor for many years. She loved hearing the many stories from her patrons. Barbie always knew everybody, and if you needed to know something, you can guarantee Barbie would have the answer.
She is survived by her children, Kevin (Robin) Cesar, Atlanta, GA, Kerri Cesar, Virgina Beach, VA, Kraig Cesar, Virginia Beach, VA, and Ryan Halverson, Sheboygan, WI; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Cesar, Kristen Cesar, Zachary Axlen, Madison Jakum, Jared Cesar, Rebecca Klug, and Hannah Halverson; brother, Walter Capelle; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Besides her parents, Eugene and Ester, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Capelle.
A Celebration of Life for Barbie will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Northstar Bar Sheboygan, 3004 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, WI 53083. Friends and family are welcome for drinks and to share memories starting at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to give a huge thank you to Barbie's neighbor, Chris Hess, who was by her side at the time of passing, looked out, and watched over her for 23 years and Christine Schmitt, who was also by Barbie's side and comforted her in the end.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Barbie's arrangements.
