Barbara Marjorie Hayes

Barbara Marjorie Hayes of Arlington, MA, passed away at the age of 95 years on June 10, 2023. Barbara married her beloved, late husband Ronnie (Charles) Hayes in 1949 and moved to their home in Arlington soon after this. Barbara is survived by her daughters Jeanne Wall and husband Benjamin, Deborah (Debbie) Hayes and husband David Gilpatrick, and Denise, and by her son Chuck (Charles). She is also survived by her brother William (Billy) Harron and wife Beverly. She was devoted to her granddaughters Rebekah and Meredith and the late Katherine Wall and great grandchildren Jacob and Chloe Cruz-Wall. Barbara was predeceased by her parents William and Matilda Harron and sisters Ethel and husband Bob Dixon and Doris and husband John Borer.

Barbara was an employee of the Arlington school department for many years where she made many friends. She loved gardening, sitting on the beach in Old Orchard Beach Maine, attending NE Patriots football games, traveling, watching the birds and clouds in the sky, and being with her family. She will be missed by many.

Visiting hours will be at Keefe Funeral Home 5 Chestnut Street Arlington MA on Tuesday June 13th from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at St John's Episcopal Church, 74 Pleasant Street, Arlington on Wednesday June 14th at 11AM. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory be made to the charity of your choice.
