Barb passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 75, surrounded by the ones who loved her as she witnessed a beautiful sunrise.
She is predeceased by her parents, Harley and Dorothy; and her siblings Robert Brickler, Nancy Carroll, Dorothy Verdi, Peggy Tachin, and Donald Brickler.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rich; her children Cindy (Scott Lindsay) McMullan, Patti (Tom) Gibaud, and Rich (Heather) Held Jr.; her cherished grandchildren Stephanie, Jesse, Zachary, Leanza, MacKenzie, Carter, and Bryce; her adored great-grandchildren Elijah, Grayson, Easton, and baby Raya on the way. She is also survived by her siblings Larry and Joe Brickler, Rene Higgins, and Linda Keon; and her in-laws Genine and Steve Coleman and Barb and John Giordano along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Barb lived her life with humility and grace, never one to seek recognition. She had a way of knowing exactly what others needed and gave freely, expecting nothing in return. She had the greatest loyalty to her family, and the more she did for people, the more joy she found in her life. She loved to celebrate her grandchildren’s accomplishments and always found a way to provide thoughtful little rewards to make them feel special. Everyone came to her for advice—even medical advice. Despite having no formal training, she somehow always had the right answer, offering strength, wisdom, and unwavering support. Barb was the rock and glue of our family, the quiet presence who held everything together.
Though she preferred to stay out of the spotlight, her absence will leave a light noticeably missing from the lives she touched.
