Barbara Jeane Price Henson, 84, of North Little Rock, AR passed away Monday, June 3, 2024. Born in Little Rock, AR, she was a registered nurse for Baptist Health and the North Little Rock School District for 42 years.
During her long career as a nurse, she always had a passion and love for caring for children and babies. In retirement, she continued her legacy by taking care of her beloved grandchildren. Her favorite past times were tending to her beautiful rose garden and growing her collection of dolls. But, her favorite, was her cherished toy poodles, Holly and Tiffany. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Garvin and Faye Price, and her husband of 63 years, Bill Henson, their daughter, Karen Henson Carter, and her older sister, Shirley Satterfield, all of North Little Rock.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Greg (Sonya) Henson, her daughter, Leslie (Alexander) Kita, grandchildren, Jerad (Christina) Henson, Matthew Henson, Amy Henson, Will Carter, Camille Kita, Collin Kita, and two great-grandchildren, Trusten and Wade Henson. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Pyle, and her brothers, Ronnie (Linda) Price and Randy (Carol) Price, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be at noon, Saturday, June 8 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm. The interment will be at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
