Barbara June Herrington

Barbara June Herrington, 93, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026. Barbara was born in Goose Creek, Texas, to parents Ina and William Brookes. She grew up in what's now Baytown along with her sister, Sherrye, and attended Lee High School.

For many years, Barbara was a homemaker, but, more importantly, she was involved in everything related to her children. She was PTA president, ran the carnival, and participated in Sunday School to be an active part of her children's lives. Eventually, she would meet her husband, Henry Loell Herrington. Barbara and Loell were married for 40 years until Loell's passing in 2021.

Later in life, Barbara started working for Dr. Hunter as a receptionist and was a loyal employee for 18 years. She was a member of the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church as well as a Matron of the Eastern Star. In her free time, she enjoyed antiquing and collecting knick-knacks of every kind. Barbara loved to travel with her husband and family, adding more knick-knacks to her collection from her journeys.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Loell Herrington. She is survived by her children, Debbie Barnes and Ray Keith Anderson; her step-son Donnie Herrington and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Michelle Foster and husband Greg, Timothy Brazil and wife Tiffany, Cody Anderson and wife Amanda, and Jaci Williams and husband Sean; her great-grandchildren, Alayna, Carrisa, Tyler, Tara, Matthew, Sara, Adam, Kyler, and Rae-Lynn; her adopted son, Clint Johnson; her niece, Chelsea Gregurek; her nephew, David Lorenze; and many more family and friends.

Barbara will be laid to rest on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery, 2850 Ferry Rd, Baytown, Texas, 77520. There will be a reception following the graveside service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services, 6123 Garth Rd, Baytown, Texas, 77521.
