Barbara Jean Hickson

Barbara Jean Hickson, age 66, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Born in Cincinnati on February 7, 1959, she was the cherished daughter of Leslie Codling and Sandra Schafer.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Codling. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Earl Joseph Hickson Jr. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her mother, Sandra Schafer; her son, Kristofer Hickson; her daughter Stephanie (Tony) Hickson; her son David (Beth) Hickson; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Miles Mays and Olivia Newton. Barbara will also be remembered by her siblings, Kathy (Bill) Rottenberger, Leslie (Kristie) Codling, and Sandy (Bill) Puthoff, along with a host of other family and friends who cherish her memory.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on March 12, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.

A Mass in honor of Barbara will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Following the Mass, burial will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens
