Kamari Hickson

Kamari Hickson was born on August 26, 1998, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Born prematurely, Kamari entered the world with remarkable strength and resilience. He spent the first six weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to complications related to cerebral palsy and shunted hydrocephalus, which resulted in severe brain damage. Throughout his life, Kamari courageously endured multiple surgeries and hospital stays, yet his spirit remained joyful and uplifting. Kamari was christened at an early age at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. William E. Flippin, Sr., Pastor.

He was a graduate of Tucker High School in Tucker, Georgia, Class of 2018. While in school, Kamari enjoyed listening to the band and had a deep appreciation for music. Music was the heartbeat of his life, and one of his favorite songs was "The World's Greatest."

Kamari truly understood the language of happiness. His contagious laughter and radiant smile brought joy to everyone he encountered. To be in his presence was to be reminded of the beauty in life. He was always happy, always fun to be around, and a constant source of light to those who knew and loved him.

Kamari's life was a testament to strength, perseverance, and unwavering joy. Our Heavenly Father blessed him to be a bright light and a source of constant happiness.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, Kamari peacefully gained his wings and entered eternal rest.
