Barbara Hines

BRUNSWICK Barbara Hines, 78, of Brunswick Meadows Way passed away Thursday September 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cohoes she was the daughter of the late William J. and Eva Laverdiere Ryan. She was a 1965 graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy.
Barbara had been employed for 20 years at the NYS Department of Equalization and Assessment. Prior to that she was employed in the Finance Department in Rensselaer County.
Barbara had a strong faith, strength and love of family. She most enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones. Barbara was incredibly gifted with crafting and card making. Her talents were treasured and enjoyed by many.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 57 years Kenneth E. Hines and her loving children, Kristen Film (Corey) of Pittstown and Michelle Baldwin (Donald III) of Brunswick. She is the sister of Mary Yvonne (Sue) Killian of Clifton Park, Gordon Ryan of Mechanicville, Timothy Ryan (Virginia) of Cohoes, Wesley Ryan (Susan) of Clifton Park, the late William, Matthew and James Ryan, Raymond Willett and Marjorie Valiquette. She is the proud grandmother of Zachary and Alex Baldwin, Kara and Emily Film and the late Amanda Film.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:30 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 12:15 pm at Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 pm.
