SPEIGLETOWN Judy "Liza" Angley, 77, of Deepkill Lane, passed away at her home surrounded by her husband and children on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Helen Miller Krumanocker and Lawrence Krumanocker. She was the loving wife of Joseph T. Angley, mother of Joseph (Traci) Angley of Speigletown and Heather (John) Hillier of Rotterdam and grandmother of Anthony Angley of Speigletown. She is survived by a brother, William Krumanocker of Madeira Beach, Fla., and sisters, Linda (John) Gibbons of Plymouth, Mass., and June (William) Donovan of Johnsonville, a step-grandson, Andrew Hillier of Rotterdam and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John (Robin) Krumanocker of Troy and Bruce (Gina) Krumanocker of Cherry Hill, N.J.
Liza and Joe became high school sweethearts in 1964 and the couple later married on February 15, 1969 upon Joe's return from the Vietnam War. They went on to build a family and a home together in Speigletown surrounded by amazing neighbors that turned into lifelong friends. Liza was happiest spending quality time at home with her family and appreciated the simple pleasures in life such as afternoon naps and two-hour baths while reading a good book. She was a member of the Ilium Literary Club and enjoyed meeting up with her childhood friends for lunches, tole painting, and theatrical performances at the Park Playhouse.
Liza graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1965 followed by furthering her education at Mildred Elley. Upon graduating, she worked in the office at the United Papermakers and Paperworkers Union until the arrival of her first born. She was a devoted mother and housewife for many years until her children were out of high school. She then returned to the workforce in the office at Cohoes Fashions, and later at The Vanilla Bean Bakery, and lastly, The Cookie Factory.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Liza's sister, June Donovan, for her tender aid and to thank the wonderful staff at New York Oncology Hematology for all their efforts.
Funeral services will be Monday at noon at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
