Barbara Ann Hirn

Barbara Ann Hirn, age 82, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2026 at Aspire Senior Living in Kimberly WI. Barbara was born on August 22, 1944 in Appleton WI and was daughter of the late George and Josephine (Fetterer). Barbara married Ronald R. Hirn Sr. on October 27, 1979. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends especially going anywhere to watch birds, she also enjoyed her dogs with a special love for the dalmatian breed. After graduating from Xavier High School in 1962? she embarked on her working career where she held a number of roles including secretary and purchasing assistant for Allis Chalmers as well as dispatch deputy for the Outagamie County Sherriff's department. Barbara and Ron were long term parishioners of St. Joseph Church in Appleton WI and longtime supporters of Xavier High School.

Barbara is survived by her husband, her daughter Allison Depew-Klein, her grandchildren Jennifer and Jackson Depew, her sister-in-law Shirley Hirn and her stepchildren Ronald (Patrice) Hirn PC-Obit Portal Jr., Linda and Paul.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law David Depew, her sister Mary Sue Cavert, a brother James (Mary Frances) Klein, brothers-in-law David, Bill, Ray and Ed Hirn and a sister-in-law Betty Hirn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aspire Senior Living in Kimberly WI as well as Bristol Hospice staff for all the support and care they provided to Barbara.
