Barbara Jean Ice, known affectionately to many as Barbara Ice, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at her home in
Florence, Colorado. She was 83 years old. Born on February 6, 1943, in
Pueblo, Colorado, Barbara's life was marked by her spirited passion for the great outdoors and her deep love for her family and friends.
Barbara's early years, laid the foundation for a life rich in adventure and creativity. Her love for nature was evident to all who knew her, as she found joy in ATV riding, camping, and observing wildlife. Barbara's zest for life was matched by her artistic aspirations, often expressing her admiration for the legendary painter Bob Ross by diligently practicing her own painting, aspiring to capture the beauty of the world as she saw it.
Family was the cornerstone of Barbara's world. She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Tammie Romero, and her cherished partner, Daniel Trujillo, whom she fondly referred to as her "Honey." Her legacy of love and laughter continues to live on through her granddaughter, Robbie Pellerin, and her husband Scotty, as well as her adored great-grandson, Holden Pellerin. And a very special dog Mr. Biscuit. Barbara's nephew, Allen, along with Allen's love, Tammy, also hold dear the memory of Barbara's indomitable spirit. She had one surviving brother Ronnie. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Eva McDaniel, and her siblings, Jo Ann, Deloris, Debbie, Dewey, and Gerald, yet her memory will continue to unite both family and friends in celebrating her life.
Barbara's circle included several wonderful friends who were a source of immense support and joy throughout her life. She was known for her unwavering kindness, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued. Her presence was a comforting and uplifting force, and those who had the privilege of knowing Barbara will forever cherish the time they spent with her.
As we say goodbye to Barbara Jean Ice, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit remains with us through the natural world she so loved and the artistic endeavors that brought her peace. Her life was a beautiful canvas, painted with the colors of love, friendship, and the joy of living.
