Barbara Jane 'Bobbie' Isom, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Rome, GA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 17, 1958, in Dayton, TN.
Bobbie's spirit shone brightly through her dedication as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Bobbie had a passion for the outdoors, relishing time spent at her lake house and enjoying the tranquility of water. She created countless unforgettable memories with her family during lake days. Her joyful personality and loving nature will always be remembered. Bobbie took immense joy in spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her boundless happiness.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles "Charlie" Isom of Rome; her daughter, Jo Anne Pelfrey, and her husband Brian of Rome, along with her grandchildren: Breanna Isom, Caitlynn Isom, Braden Pelfrey, Emma Isom, Riley Pelfrey, and Alise Isom. Additionally, Barbara was a proud grandmother to three great-grandchildren who brightened her life; sisters: Rita Puryear (Darren) of Rome, Carolyn Wade of Piedmont, AL, Shirley Knight of Rome, Teresa Smith of Rome, and Crystal Richards of Cedartown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Knight and Kathleen Colvin Knight; a son, Daniel Isom; and her siblings: Allen Knight, Rhonda McCord, Nancy Nelson, and Patsy Vandiver.
The visitation for Bobbie will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 895 Cartersville Highway, Rome, GA.
