Obituary of Barbara Beth (France) Jarvis
Barbara Beth (France) Jarvis, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She passed peacefully in the care of her loving and devoted husband.
Barbara was born on January 24, 1952 in Barberton, Ohio. Barbara was first and foremost a Christ follower, lover of many, and all-around joy to everyone she touched, and they were many. Barbara was retired but had worked for many years as a certified nurse midwife in the central South Carolina area where she assisted her dear friend Marie Bridges establishing the first out of hospital birthing center. She helped to deliver countless little ones into the world.
She was predeceased by her father, Carl France Jr., and her mother, Marilyn June France.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Terry, their four sons, Gareth, Jared (Mindy), Marcus, and Karsten (Cortnee), and two grandchildren, Charlee Rae and Elijah, with a third grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her three siblings, Becky, Linda, and Carl, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara enjoyed taking care of her African violet collection and other various plants, singing hymns in the kitchen, and spending time with her family.
She will surely be missed, but in our grief, we find peace knowing her suffering has ended and she is dancing in Heaven.
"So, I'll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down, I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown.
To the old rugged cross, I will ever be true, its shame and reproach I gladly bear, Then He'll call me some day to my home far away, Where His glory forever I'll share."

I was just reading some letters that Barbara wrote to me after she delivered my 3rd son in June of 1982. My son was the second baby born at Dr. Boggs´ office. I was curious about her, so I looked on the internet and found that she has passed from this earth to her Heavenly home. I have a number of letters here which I would be happy to send to you, should you wish to have them. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at your loss. Barbara was much beloved by mamas like me who benefited from her tender care. [email protected]
