Barbara A. Johnston, age 64, sadly passed away on November 28, 2024. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Carol Leishear and the late Daniel Bates. Barbara is the devoted wife of Brian Johnston; beloved mother of the late Shawn Miles; loving dog mom to Maxi Johnston, step-mother of Colleen Alcala (and her husband Justin) and Jason Miles; cherished niece of Charley and Lynne Yoe; beloved sister of John Bates (and his wife Lisa), Joyce White, and the late Daniel Bates; caring aunt of Ashley White; dear grandmother of Mark Wicklein (and his wife Kayla), Zach Wicklein, and Tyler Wicklein; dear great-grandmother of Jocelyn Wicklein and Caden Wicklein. Barbara is also survived by many loving friends.
Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd. Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Wednesday, December 4 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Barbara's name to the ALS Association.
