It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Joubert who left us on October 30, 2024 at the age of 85.
She was born in Jamaica Plain on March 30, 1939. She was a loving daughter of the late John and Helena Connolly, raised by her Aunt Mary Connolly. She was one of two siblings, Robert Connolly and Ellen Petrie. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain.
In 1959 she married the love of her life, Francis Joubert, and they were married for 64 years until his passing in September of 2023. She is survived by her son Michael Joubert and his wife Kim Joubert, living in Northwest Arkansas. She is also survived by her granddaughter Katelyn Joubert and her husband Silas Fishburne, and her grandson Cameron Joubert.
Barbara was a very lovely, caring woman that grabbed everyone's heart with her beautiful smile and laughter. She loved spending time traveling and being with her family and friends. Barbara never found a chocolate or sweet she didn't like, or the even sweeter moments surrounded by the people she loved.

My first thought was Barbara away smiling and both Barbara and Frank so friendly to all. They loved our block parties. They will both be truly missed. May the both rest in the sweetest peace
