Barbara and I met at a Dartmouth Osher orientation and hit it off immediately! For twelve years, we shared concerts, trips to Boston, New York, Burlington, Manchester, and the New Hampshire coast, lunches and dinners out, walks, shopping, and a few exercise classes. We spent one very funny and memorable evening sharing old rock magazines and reminiscing about our musical tastes as teenagers. I will miss seeing her at RVC, but i will remember fondly all our fun times!!!!

Barbara and I shared in a lifetime together. Growing up, we enjoyed family gatherings, performing shows for our parents, Thanksgiving at the Pines Hotel, New York City museum trips, Yahtzee and Scrabble, bar and bat mitzvahs, sleepovers, diners, theater, and weddings to name a few. As twelve year olds, we went to an outdoor Cowsills concert. When they performed their hit song, "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things" it began to rain. We sat there through the downpour singing along. During our college years we lost touch, but the universe made sure it wasn't for long. One day, I was getting the mail at my apartment in Briarwood, Queens and perusing the names on the mailboxes. To my disbelief, I saw "B. Krinitz" on one of the mailboxes. Given that Krinitz is the least common name on the planet, I knew it was Barbara. I immediately went to her apartment, knocked on her door, and we picked right back up like no time had passed. I am grateful we never let any more time pass since. She bought my daughter Jaclyn a teddy bear when she was young that she named Fluffy, and slept with for 25 years (and still has in her bedroom at age 35). She celebrated my daughter Marisa's wedding in August 2024. We had a monthly zoom call with our cousins, and had just spoken the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Barbara was a treasured part of our family, and I will hold these memories close to my heart.

Hello, I knew Barbara from our workouts at the RVC. She was always so pleasant and easy going. I enjoyed chatting with her and seeing her in classes. She is missed.

Hundreds and hundreds of hours spent together exercising, lunching and gabbing, laughing, finding song lyrics to match every kind of situation, sharing memories, walking the rail trail during Covid, traveling to Montreal and Boston...what a large hole now remains. Miss you, Barbara. Naomi
