Barbara Faye Lewis, age 67, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at her residence in Abingdon, VA. She was born in Bristol, TN to the late Lockard Herndon and Margie Wise Herndon on March 24, 1956. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and church family. Her grandchildren were very special to her, she loved caring for them.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two children Chad Lewis and Christy Lewis and siblings, Geraldine Cuddy, Betty Britt, Shirley Wimmer, Jim Herndon, and Bobby Herndon.
Survivors include her husband, David Lewis; daughter Angela Jordan; sister, Diane Weddle (Darrell); three grandchildren Mercedes Lewis, Lexus Jordan and Lakin Lewis and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Imogene Bowers, Sandra Sykes, and Gail Holbrook.
The family requests a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel with a funeral service to follow. Rev. Stacy Evans and Rev. Jerry Holbrook officiating. The burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol.
