James Wilmont Lewis

James Wilmont Lewis, 55, of Pageland, SC passed away on December 11, 2025 in Pageland, South Carolina. He was born on January 7, 1970 in Monroe, North Carolina to Brenda Arant and the late Leon Dan Lewis.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Arant (Bobby Moseley) of Pageland, SC; sisters, Amanda Stegall (Gary) of Jefferson, SC and Melissa Hutcherson (Ronald) of Chesterfield, SC; brothers, Travis Lewis (Amanda) of Mt. Croghan, SC and Lee Lewis (Karen) of Pageland, SC; sisters, Isabella Moseley, Sueyleng Moseley and Katie Moseley all of Pageland, SC; brothers, Micah Moseley and Silas Moseley both of Pageland, SC, special nephew and buddy Tanner Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Daniel Lewis and Katie Hinson and maternal grandparents, Curtis Arant and Nannie Hammond.
He found solace and joy in the tranquility of gardening, nurturing plants and flowers with a tender hand. The beach was another sanctuary for him, where the rhythm of the waves matched the peace he carried in his heart. An avid walker, James believed in the simple pleasures of life and took every opportunity to explore the beauty of nature. He enjoyed riding around with his buddy Tanner on the golf cart.
Family was the cornerstone of James's world. He embraced the role of uncle with enthusiasm, showering his numerous nieces and nephews with love and attention. Their laughter and smiles were the rewards he cherished most. James also shared a special bond with his family over football, where watching games became more than a pastime-it was a ritual that brought everyone closer together.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, Pageland, SC.
There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Baumgartner Funeral Home in Pageland, SC with Pastor Steven Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Five Forks Cemetery in Pageland, SC.
