Barbara Lingenfelter

Her Legacy… Barbara Jean Lingenfelter, 83, of Howell, Michigan, peacefully passed away on March 19, 2026. She was born June 5, 1942 to Stanley Volas and Helen (Brisco) Volas in Ernest Pennsylvania. Barbara married the love of her life, Donald Lingenfelter, May 13, 1961, in Ernest, Pennsylvania. Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. She will be remembered for her warm and caring nature, as well as her strength of spirit. Barbara was deeply devoted to her faith and cherished every moment spent with her family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including bowling, shopping, spending time with friends, and visiting the casino. A talented cook, Barbara took great pride in preparing meals and sharing her signature dishes with those she loved.

Her kindness, devotion, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Her Family… Barbara will be missed by her husband, Donald Lingenfelter; her children, Donald (Sue) Lingenfelter Jr., Dan Lingenfelter (Sara Cotter), Dave (Monica) Lingenfelter, Matt (Katie) Lingenfelter; grandchildren, Donny III, Jacob, Alexis, Colton, Abby, Drake, Briar, Joshua, Kaitlynn; great grandchildren, Nova, Cheyenne, Freya; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Helen Volas; her siblings, Ed, George, Stella, Mary, Irene, Margaret, Chester, Dorothy.

Her Farewell… Barbara's family and friends will gather 10:00 am, Saturday, March 28, 2026, until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell, Michigan. Father Brett Ivey will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Boys Town.
