Gary Lynn Lingenfelter

Gary Lynn Lingenfelter (72) of Columbus, Ohio lost his battle on February 24, 2026, at Doctors Hospital West surrounded by loved ones. Gary began his journey to heaven where he will reunite with his mother, Maxine Bean; father, Stanton Lingenfelter; In-laws, George and Sandy Wamack and his only nephew, Joseph.

Gary leaves behind his loving surviving wife of forty years, Brenda Lingenfelter, his four children: Rebecca Lingenfelter, Toni (Anastacio) Gross, Katie Pogson, Nick Miller along with his eight grandchildren: Nick (Angel), Nikki, Jordan, Michael (Kenzie), Matthew, Destinie (Jacob), Justine, Mikhail and his eight great grandchildren: Nylah, Koltyn, Kyler, King (Jessica), Azlynn, A'ziah, GiGi & Declan .... OH, BUT WAIT .... Did I say eight? Surprise your ninth great grandbaby is on its way!

Gary was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend. He worked multiple jobs to provide for his family and for his love and playtime at the casino. His "dad" jokes will exist in every memory as will his weird sayings that will remain around so his grandchildren and great grandchildren will be able to know just a little bit of what the rest of us will hold dearly to our hearts for the rest of our lives. Gary will always be loved by so many as he adopted everyone.

Something Gary always made sure everybody he came into contact knew: Blood didn't make you family; love does and Gary stood by this until his very last breath. Gary loved everyone, blood or not, all that mattered to him was his family.

Rest in heaven Gary Lynn Lingenfelter. Gone but never forgotten and forever loved & missed 5/31/1953 to 2/24/2026.
