Barbara Ruth MacKendrick

Barbara Ruth Eddy MacKendrick, 90, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 11, after a brief illness.
Barbara was born on May 24, 1932, in Attleboro, Ma., to the late Milton C. Eddy Sr. and Anna Stevens Eddy. She is also preceded in death by her brother Milton C. Eddy Jr., and sister Judi Eddy Spencer.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard, of 70 years; her children, David (Alex) MacKendrick of Asheville, NC; Sandra (Doyce) Camp, of Zirconia, NC; Carol Wilkins of Laurel Park, NC. Grandchildren, Barbie MacKendrick Duminie of Michigan; David MacKendrick II of Georgia; Lori Camp Brim of Hendersonville; Cindy Camp Hill of Virginia; Great grandchildren, Tristin MacKendrick; Jack Brim; Kayla and Drew Hill, and very soon to be, Lilly Hill. Also several nieces & nephews.
Barbara had an adventurous life with Richard. They moved to Melbourne, Fl, in 1959, then to Hendersonville in 1967. After Richards retirement, they spent winters aboard their sailboat in Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda, Fl., then many years later in a retirement community at Windmill Village in Punta Gorda, Fl.
Barbara had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
