Barbara Marcey Obituary
Barbara was born in 1944 in Front Royal, VA, the daughter of the late Gourlie and Fannie Jones. She retired as cashier/teller in the banking industry. Barbara loved dancing with her husband and in her younger years, camping.
She married Chancellor Lee Marcey, III on May 6, 1961, in Manassa, VA. He preceded her in death in 2019.
Barbara is survived by her children, Lori J. Lambert (Doug) and Chancellor Lee Marcey, IV; grandchildren, Gary Hamm, II, Jonathan Lambert (Courtney), Brandon Lambert, Isabella Akeley (Staff Sgt Jake); great-grandchildren, Karadin, Cameron, Jacob, Tucker and Collyns, her brother, Gourlie "Buddy" Jones (Beverly) and sister-in-law, Cheryl Jones.
Along with her parents and husband, Barbara is preceded in death by sister, Yvonne "Bonnie" Runion and brothers, Robert "Bobby" Jones, and George "Sandy" Jones.
A visitation will be held for Barbara on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11am with a service to follow at 12pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Panorama Memorial Gardens in Strasburg, VA.
