Barbara Massengale Obituary
Barbara Ann Massengale, age 75, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Harmony Pointe Nursing Center. She was born April 15, 1950 to Josephine and Edward Resley in Englewood, Colorado. Barbara graduated from Englewood High School in 1968 and married Byron Massengale shortly after graduation.
Barbara made her life’s work as a home maker and poured her heart into raising four children, Rob, Randy, Ryan, and Jennifer. She spent many years tirelessly caring for her beloved son Ryan after he became confined to wheelchair at a young age. Barbara loved her pet animals dearly. Her home was full of dogs and birds and even rabbits and a chinchilla that brought endless joy to the family, especially Ryan and Jennifer.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Edward, her sister Pam, her brother Mikey, and her son Ryan. She is survived by her brother Ed, sisters Debbie and Maureen, her sons Rob and Randy, her daughter Jennifer, grandsons Kiel, Harrison and Hunter, granddaughters Hannah, Tenley and Tessa, several nieces and a nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1pm at Heflebower Funeral Services, 8955 S. Ridgeline Blvd Suite 100 (SW corner of complex), Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. The family will host a reception at Randy and Kristine’s home immediately following the memorial.
