Barbara Nan Mayhew, 80 years of age, passed away on January 14, 2026, in Springfield, MO. She was born on January 27, 1945, in Springfield, MO, to Rex Raymond and Mildred Moscelyn (Elsey) Moore.

Barbara enjoyed a successful career as an executive with Prime, Inc., in charge of driver personnel. She was an avid life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan. She loved her church family and attended Riverdale Baptist Church in Nixa along with her sister Beverly. There, they were known as the "Bs". Barbara will be remembered for her quick laugh and always being a classy lady.

Barbara was preceded in death by the absolute love of her life, husband Tom Mayhew. She is survived by son, Matt Mayhew and his wife, Deb; granddaughters: Amanda and Jerrina, great-granddaughter Henley, sisters: Beverly Kittrell, Brenda Kachuba and her husband Tim; brother, Dale Moore and his wife, Laree Moore; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd., Springfield, MO. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, 11:30 AM at Riverdale Baptist Church in Nixa, MO. She will be laid to rest at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, MO.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at The Gardens and Phoenix Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.

Barbara's final care is entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. Springfield, MO.
