Barbara A. McCarty

Barbara A. McCarty, age 82 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Pavillion on Main in Sandwich, IL. She was born in Aurora, IL on August 2, 1943 the daughter of Donald and Doris (Swinehamer) Perrin.
Barbara was united in marriage to Mr. James Allen McCarty on July 27, 1966 and they spent the next 47 years happily together until his passing on April 1, 2014. She was employed for many years in the education industry as an Accounts Payable Manager until her retirement. Barbara was a longtime member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. She was a loving mom, grandma, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Scott (Dawn) McCarty of Yorkville, IL and Todd (Maureen Ewing) McCarty of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Mitchell and Maxwell McCarty; her brothers, Charles (Toni) Perrin of AZ and Donald (Judy) Perrin of PA; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Doris Perrin; and her husband, James McCarty.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
