Barbara Miller, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on Monday, October 9, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara lived a full and meaningful life devoted to her family and friends. Barbara will be deeply missed by her daughter, Tammie Miller, and Leon York of Centralia. Her loving spirit and wisdom will be remembered by her grandchildren: Andi and her husband Dawson Mook of Florida, Tyrus and his wife Taylor Rodewald of Ohio, Ashley and her husband Brent Corners of Centralia, Justin York and Shannon Kalmer of St. Jacob, Morgan York of Centralia, and Shawn Beanlands of Canada. She also leaves behind 8 adored great-grandchildren: Ella York, Emi York, Ezra Miller Mook, Paislie Mook, Callen Corners, Aftynn Corners, Ava Corners, and Brylan Jones; step son-in-law: Michael Beanlands; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Maxine Littlejohn, her beloved husband, Curt Miller, her brothers: Jimmy Littlejohn, Ralph Durning, Harold Tyler, and Gerald Tyler, and her step daughter: Dee Dee Beanlands. Barbara dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and loving space for her family and community. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support will be forever missed. Barbara also had a passion for dancing and cooking for her family and friends. In accordance with Barbara's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no public services will be held at this time. The caring team at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois, is honored to be assisting Barbara's family during this difficult time.
