Ms. Barbara Dean Mitchell Passed on Friday August 8, 2025 at Advent Health Hospital in Kissimmee Florida.

Ms. Barbara Dean Mitchell (Pumpkin), Daughter of late Voila Smith and Grant Smith was born on March 23, 1948 in Chicago Illinois. She attended the public schools in Flint, Michigan. She worked as a factory worker in General Motors for 30 years. She enjoyed her 25 years of retirement in Michigan and Florida. She was a hard worker and had strong family value. She was always trying to get and keep the family together. She loved to sew and have made several outfits that she wore and was very proud of. She also loved Betty Boop from towels, aprons, & Figurines.

Barbara Dean Mitchell had brothers and sisters who preceded her death: Theresa Morgan, Joe Smith, Bruno Brown, & Curtis Smith.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children: Shellene Alexis Rogers, Henry H Royster Jr III, & Deacon Jamel Yero Royster (Cassandra Royster); nine grandchildren: Nigel Cyavon Royster, Deondric Darrell Royster, Tyrone Brick Rogers, Keonte' M Nettles, Malachi Royster, Henry H Royster Jr IV, Sharionna Unique Royster, Eqwianshae Jameya Royster, & Jeremiah Jones. Three great grandchildren: Lakira Promise Royster, Aaliyah Janae Davenport, & Kingston E Thurmond.

Extended family – nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends: Spring Hall, Marlow Morgan, Karla Morgan, Wanda Morgan, Darwin Smith, Victor, Eric, Danielle, Tomekco, Sharon Hudson, Letitia Hardeman, Kahlil Smith, Tayshun Morgan, Anja Hardeman, Dorothy Keith, Billie Wills & Tiffany Simmons.
