Barbara Susan Moore, 70, of Jonesboro, passed away on November 20, 2025, at UAMS in Little Rock.
Barbara was born in Marks, MS, and grew up in Tutwiler, MS. She is a graduate of Strider Academy in Charleston, MS. She worked as a secretary at the Speech & Hearing Center/Region I Mental Health Department in Clarksdale, MS, from 1975 to 1981. After her sons were born, she was employed by the Clarksdale Municipal School System, first as a Title I Tutorial tutor, then as an assistant teacher, and later as an Administrative Assistant. After she and her husband Larry moved to Jonesboro, AR, she worked as the Office Clerk for Jonesboro Public Schools.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry, sons, Luke and Samuel, and daughters-in-law, Donna and Yanan. Grandchildren: Cora, Ellie, Evey, Eva, Andrew, Lydia, Hannah. Sisters Eileen Wiltshire (Morris) and Geneva Wiltshire.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Cade Robertson; brothers, Charles Jr., Walter, Ira, Boyd, J.P., and sister Julie Buchanan. Three nephews, Michael Boyd Robertson, Jr., Michael Melton, & Bobby Wiltshire, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on December 1, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
