Barbara Newlon, 66, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones in the morning of Friday February 13th, after a 6 month fight with cancer.
She will be dearly missed by her fiancé Dale Baranyi, children Jamie Henderson, Ricky Lutz, Candice Lutz, Cheyanne, Clayton, Dakota and Reno Smallwood, brothers Jeff and Jim Newlon, as well as the local wildlife she cared for and fed. She loved her raccoon friends especially.
Barb was a lifelong musician with an unbelievable voice and she was the previous owner of Barb and Doug’s Nashville nights in Akron. She was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved bonfires, and watching meteor showers with her kids. We will miss her quick witted humor, unpredictable pranks, and ability to make any serious situation lighter.
A memorial party will be held for her in April.
Adams Mason Funeral Home was entrusted with her care. 330-535-9186
