Barbara Opdenhoff Obituary

Barbara Anne Opdenhoff, 83, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024.

A celebration of her life will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Faith Covenant Church, please wear bright colors in honor of Barbara. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th, Amarillo, Texas, 79106 or to Faith Covenant Church, 200 N McGee St, Borger, Texas 79007.

Barbara was born November 15, 1940, in Forestburg, Texas, at her grandmother's home, to Tillit Bryant, Sr. and Melba Golden Bryant. She married Leonard Opdenhoff on June 6, 1987. She enjoyed reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles and was an avid animal lover. Barbara had an engaging smile with an irresistible sense of humor. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tillit Bryant, Sr. and Melba Bryant; husband, Leonard Opdenhoff; brother, Ronald Bryant; and son-in-law, Phil Williams.

Survivors include her daughters, Ronna Hopson and husband Frank of Borger, Janet Fleming and husband Greg of Borger, Vickie Williams of Borger; son, Gary Opdenhoff and wife Kim of Borger; grandchildren, Amber Reed and husband Shiloh, Garren Opdenhoff and wife Chelsea, Ryan Hopson and wife Ashley, Caleb Hopson and wife Baleigh, Abbie Cano and husband Michael, Amy Bell and husband Ryan, Lexie Fleming, Nicole Mitchell and husband, Deion, Kel Schoenhals and wife Rian, Kala Garcia and husband Frank, Amanda McGill, J.Ben Williams and wife Erin, Dalon Williams and wife Jenny, Wacey Williams and wife Leah; thirty-seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, T.J. Bryant and wife Sharon; sister, Linda Fisher and husband Mark; and a host of extended family.
