Barbara J. Ouellette

Barbara Jane (Lunde) Ouellette passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the age of 90. Born in Detroit, Michigan on November 15, 1933, she is the daughter of William and Abby (Pasuit) Lunde. She attended St. Leo's Catholic School.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph, whom she married on May 8, 1954, at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Eastpointe, MI. Barbara is survived by her children Gerard (Bernice) and Julia Ouellette. Dearest cousin Daniel Pasuit and friend Richard Rodriguez. Loving Grandchildren Melina (Ouellette) and Jonathan Ross, Alysa (Ouellette) and Charley Jackson, and Nadia (Ouellette) and Ryan LaPensee. Great Grandchildren Liam Ross, Francesca Jackson, Jett LaPensee, Charley Jackson III, Dex LaPensee, Isaac Jackson, Edison Ross, Lennox LaPensee, and Zeo LaPensee.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with family, quilting, swimming, and playing pinochle and euchre. She was an animal-lover and avid-reader and will be remembered for her witty sense of humor.
Instate Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 9:30am until time of Mass, 10am at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington Ave., Eastpointe, Michigan 48021 and she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Barbara's behalf.
