Barbara Ann Paganelli, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest on October 12, 2023 at her home. She was 87 years old.
Barbara was born on July 13, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of the late William and Edna Mabie Creighton. Barbara worked for many years at St. Francis Hospital until retirement and then Olive Garden for many years where she made so many friends. Barbara was also a loving caretaker to a few of her siblings when they became ill. She also had a huge part in caring for her siblings growing up.
She loved shopping and she always made sure that everything matched perfectly, right down to her socks. She always loved sitting on her front porch in the summer. Her laugh was contagious and she will be missed by anyone who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Randy Yeomans and his wife, Patty of Lake Lure, NC and Ben Yeomans, Jr. of Portland, OR; her son-in-law, William G. O'Brien of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Rosemarie Boyian and husband, Tom of Norwalk, CT; her grandchildren, Stephanie Barber (Robert), Matthew O'Brien, Randy Yeomans, Stacy Yeomans, Josh Yeomans and Dylan Yeomans; her 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Rosemarie O'Brien; her eight siblings, Elizabeth "Betty", Thomas, Ronnie, Frances, Jean, Janet, Bill and Dena.
The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for their kind and caring support.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, October 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.
