Barbara Parkhurst Obituary

Barbara worked for the New York State Department of Labor for over 30 years. She enjoyed golfing, reading and gardening. Barbara was a season ticket holder with both the Geva Theatre and Rochester Broadway Theatre League. She will be remembered for her friendly nature and was always willing to help others. Her family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Aurora House for their compassionate care.
Barbara's life story will be shared during visitation, 3:00-6:00pm on Thursday, November 20th at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Friday, November 21st at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Road. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's name to the Aurora House, 2495 S Union St, Spencerport, NY 14559.

Barbara was the nicest & kindest person I knew at Dept, of Labor. I was transferred to her office during a budget cut, & she was so warm & welcoming to me. Working there became something I looked forward to. Her smile would warm your heart. She will be missed.
