Barbara Patton Obituary
Barbara was born in Paducah, KY, on December 14, 1959, to her parents, Suzanne Hughes Bacon and the late Bobby Roach.
Barbara's childhood church was Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah, KY, and she was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. She was formerly employed as a caregiver for brain injury patients at NeuroRestorative of Paducah, KY.
Barbara was a lover of cooking and was known for her famous fried chicken, sweet potatoes and baked beans. She also loved reading novels, and frequenting Facebook and TikTok. She wanted everyone she met to feel loved, accepted and comfortable around her. Her children and grandchildren were her heart, as well as her grand-dog, Benji, who even in her final days she wanted to see.
Barbara leaves her adorable family to cherish many memories, Her daughter, Kelley Patton (Benji) of Sumter, SC; Her son, Joseph (Elisabeth) Patton III and three grandchildren, Josiah Patton, Evan Patton and Isaac Patton all of Joliet, Illinois; One brother, James Rose (Lisa) Roach of Winston-Salem, NC; Two sisters, Rosalind Bass and Tracey Roach both of Paducah, KY; One Step-sister Brenda (Joe) Berry Crowder of Granite City, Illinois; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Those awaiting her at Heaven's Gate along with her father are her two brothers, Terry Roach and Girard Roach.
Barbara Sue Patton's love for both her family and friends will forever be etched in the minds and hearts of all who knew her well.
A Memorial Service has been planned for Saturday, July 13, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
There will be no visitation.
Reverend Donna G. Newsome Hawkins will officiate.
