Barbara Jean Pendegrass

Barbara Jean Arnold Pendergrass, age 89, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Born on October 3, 1936, Barbara was the daughter of the late Claude Arnold and Fannie Arnold. She was one of four children and is preceded in death by her brothers Jack Arnold and Carroll Arnold, and her sister Anna Arnold. On September 3, 1955, Barbara married the love of her life, John “Hub” Pendergrass, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion. Barbara worked for many years at the sewing plant in Clarkesville, where she took great pride in her work and the relationships she formed with coworkers. She later retired from Scovill Fasteners

Barbara is survived by her nephews, Mike Arnold, of Franklin, NC; Larry Arnold, of Louisville, KY; niece, Heather Rhoades, of Colbert; as well as several friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Keith Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the funeral home.
