Lawsen MaCloud Wheeler

Lawsen MaCloud Wheeler, age 20, of Clarkesville, passed away on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, hard work, and a deep love for the world around him. Born on December 15, 2004, he grew into a young man who embraced life with energy, kindness, and an appreciation for simple, meaningful moments.

He loved fishing and could often be found by the water, finding peace in the outdoors. Music was another passion - strumming his guitar or sharing tunes with friends, he brought creativity and heart to every space he entered. His dog Oakey was his constant companion, and together they spent countless hours exploring outside, enjoying the freedom and calm that nature gave him.

Lawsen also took great pride in his work at Zaxby’s. He enjoyed working every chance he could and formed strong bonds with his coworkers, who became a second family to him. His dedication, humor, and positive attitude made an impact on everyone he worked alongside.

Known for his easy going spirit and his tight-knit group of friends - his “posse” - Lawsen brought light, laughter, and loyalty to those he cared about. His presence made life better for the people around him, and his memory will continue to do the same.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered in the places he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the joy he shared so freely.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Kelly and Bill Miles; father and stepmother, Ty and Kriston Wheeler; siblings: Logan Palmer, MaKinlee Palmer, MaClaine Wheeler, Alissa Eitel, Katie Rae Eitel, Teka Clearman, Tyler Miles, Lisa-Marie Miles, Noah Miles; maternal grandfather, Lee Moore; paternal grandmother, Lottie Wheeler; and his posse: Wyatt, Biggie, Matthew "Squishy", Hayden, and Nick.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev,. Tim Holcomb officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2025 at the funeral home.
