In Loving Memory of Barbara Piner

October 30, 1945 – September 4, 2025

Barbara Piner, 79, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 30, 1945, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Barbara lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion. A steadfast believer in the Lord, she found great comfort and joy in her relationship with Him. Barbara cherished the opportunity to worship and sing with her daughter at Invitation Church. Her love for the Lord was reflected in the warmth she shared with others and the peace she carried in her heart.

Barbara's family was everything to her, and she poured her love into her children and grandchildren, always offering guidance, care, and a listening ear. She was particularly close to her beloved pets, Charlie and Tigger, who were her "kids" and brought her great joy and comfort.

An avid crocheter, Barbara found peace in creating beautiful, handcrafted items for those she loved. Whether it was a blanket, scarf, or just a simple piece of art, each stitch was made with care and love-a reflection of her giving heart.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughter Tammy Ross, her daughter-in-law Brenda Stewart, and her beloved grandchildren: Jeremiah Combs, Chloe (Jacob) Griffin, Emily Stewart, Janna Combs, Kyle Combs, Josiah Stewart, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Piner, her sister Janice Burkins, and her son Richard Stewart.

Her quiet strength, deep faith, and unshakeable love for her family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a woman of grace, faith, and kindness, whose life was a true reflection of the love of Christ.

A memorial service to honor Barbara's life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified of the details.

Barbara will be deeply missed, but her faith, love, and memory will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
