Barbara J. Piper, affectionately known as Barb, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center, leaving behind an indelible legacy of dedication and love. Born on January 25, 1946, in Wooster, her life was marked by unwavering commitment, both in her career and in her family.
For an impressive 44 years, Barb devoted herself to Desenco Inc., a testament to her work ethic and loyalty. Barb approached her work with diligence and an unyielding spirit, embodying the values of integrity and dedication.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barb's heart and soul were deeply entwined with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Dale H. Piper, whose partnership she cherished. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and shared aspirations. As a proud mother, Barb imparted her wisdom and values to her children: Dale (Denise) Corbin, Todd (Kristen) Popovic, Teresa (Christopher) Karickhoff, Jenny (Jason) McMillin, Matthew (Esther) Piper of whom carry forward her legacy with grace; three sisters, Patricia Jacquet, Susan Carson, Priscilla Sexton; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter (plus one on the way).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy E and Mary (Barclay) Blosser and brother, Gerald Blosser.
In her community, Barb was a member of the Columbian Ladies Council 554.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, Massillon. Mass will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary's Campus, 206 Cherry Rd NE, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
