Donald Robert "Don" Huff

Donald Robert Huff, 86, of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born in Massillon, September 9, 1939, a son to the late Robert L. and Ferne E. (Jackson) Huff, Don graduated from Orrville High School with the Class of 1957. He worked at Fouche's Grocery and Young's IGA in Orrville, then for the J.M. Smucker Co. until his retirement after 40 years of faithful service. He also honorably served a six-year enlistment as a sergeant in the Ohio Army National Guard, from 1963-69.

Don loved Cleveland baseball and Orrville High School football. He enjoyed Massillon football too. He liked listening to the games on his transistor radio. Don also enjoyed involvement in church groups and being there to lend a hand.

Predeceased by his parents, his loving sister, Janice (Huff) Crawfis, and his son-in-law, Ronald Knopp; Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Susanne (Shanklin) Huff, their daughter, Tricia (Huff) Knopp, and two granddaughters, Kari (Ford) Ellis and Kelle (Nathaniel) Moore III.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Faith Community Fellowship – 1303 – 9th Street SW, Massillon, Ohio 44647. Pastor Mike Kager will officiate and a private burial will follow. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the service, from 12:00-1:00 p.m., in the church. They have also suggested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to advance the mission and ministry of either Faith Community Fellowship or Sixteen St. John's Church – 1588 Manchester Avenue, SW, North Lawrence, Ohio 44666.
