Barbara Pope, of Lanham, MD, passed away quietly on June 14, 2023 in Laurel, MD. She was the widow of Thomas Leo Pope and daughter of the late Robert William Frye Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Kolbe Frye She is survived by her daughters, Constance (Connie) Baldwin and Marjorie (Marty) Pope; son-in-law Robert (Bob) Baldwin; niece June, three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren Barbara had a more than 35 year career in the banking industry before retiring. In retirement she enjoyed collecting cookbooks, baking, genealogy research and wordsearch puzzles. She also liked dogs and loved cats. She will truly be missed by those who loved and knew her. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A. 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722.
