I worked with Barb for 11 years at Tarrant County Government IT department, she was my manager and my sister on the job. She was one of the best managers I have worked for. We had a great time working together and we joked about retiring together. I tried to talk her out of leaving Tarrant County, but she wanted to go into business with Nate. When my son was in the medical school, Barb told me she would be my son's first patient as soon as soon he started practicing. She did send my son a nice graduation gift and he was very grateful for that. Barb will be missed tremendously. Rest in Peace my dear sister.

Words fail to express the profound loss and void I feel.
Nate & the kids, I am here to support you in any way I can. My heart & healing prayers go out to you as you navigate this unimaginable sorrow.
`Til we meet again, my dearest cousin Barb. I love and miss you so much. I cherish everything you taught me. Our beautiful, funny memories will remain in my heart forever.

Barb was such an instrumental part of my growth as a child welfare system analyst for the State of Colorado. Barb was always willing to help me with any project. Barb was easy to talk to and always made me feel heard. I reached out to Barb for information about obtaining an ISTQB certification and she gave me many creditable resources. As a result my son is now also ISTQB certified and looking forward to a new career in IT. I will forever be grateful for the knowledge and kindness that Bard exhibited during the time that we worked together. She is missed and she will always be in our hearts. <3

Barb, we never met in person and yet you guided me through the darkest days after my twin daughter died. You had felt all the feelings and experienced all the same questions and feelings before me. You helped me see the joy in life again while never diminishing my sadness.
We rejoiced with each other over facebook with each milestone our children reached, and supported each other through the fatigue of motherhood.
Your family was everything to you and I know that you will always live inside each one of them. You and Noah will watch together as your children grow and send signs to Nate and the kids along the way.
Thank you for all you did for me. As we always talked about, I will say your name often because saying your name doesn´t remind your loved ones that you died, they never forget. It reminds them that you lived and that you are remembered.
Rest in peace Barb.

Nate, I see Barb wanted some of her Ashe´s spread on Lake Champlain.
It would be so wonderful if you wanted to come and stay over with us while here.
Our home is small but we have an extra bedroom and a pull out couch.
We are literally just down the beach from the Powell camps property where I know you came to with your family when you guys were young.
Just reach out when you are thinking of coming. Much love, Julie

Barbara was clearly such a gift in you and the kids lives. And so many others.
Keep holding her close, share constantly stories together, speak with her, know her soul is in each of you and that will never go away.
And of course allow the deep grief to mourn her physical loss and time here on earth.
Sending so much love to all of you. Love Julie

I'm one of her fellow "Angelmommies" - we met on Justmommies many, many years ago. She was a joyous part of my life! I will forever think of her when I see anything Polish. She posted a drawing of an angelbaby, which I gleefully had tattooed on my inner wrist. It is now her memorial too.
