Barbara A. Proszek

Barbara Proszek, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy. She is reunited with her late husband, Edward Proszek, and her son, David McCarthy. Barbara's unwavering love is felt by her beloved children, Paul (Dawn Rieser) McCarthy and Lynn (Paul Zbrzezny) McCarthy.

She was a proud grandmother to Jeffrey (Yeli Kordich) and Megan (Ian Torregrossa) Merckel, and Kyle Cliffe, and a joyful great-grandmother to Brett Cliffe. Her family was her world, and she was surrounded by love, including her dedicated companions, Max and Precious. Barbara also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Catherine Latini, and her beloved brother, Robert Latini. She loved fishing, camping, and gardening. She had a special knack for nurturing both her plants and her family, always ensuring that everyone felt cared for and loved.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at 10:30 AM at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary, located at 4375 Harris Hill Road, Williamsville, NY 14221 at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Barbara’s name to the Hospice Foundation, supporting the compassionate care that she valued so deeply.

As we gather to celebrate Barbara’s life, let us remember her warm smile. She will forever be in our hearts.
