Funeral services for Barbara Lynn Ramsey will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM, January 25, 2023, at Outreach Baptist Church, Columbia with Buster Duplissey officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until time of service at Outreach Baptist Church.
Barbara Boyett Ramsey was born July 12, 1946, and passed over to Glory on January 21, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family and special friends.
She lived in Grayson and she loved being at home mowing her 8 acres and loving on her dog, Anna.
One of 7 children, she was born to Joe and Verily Boyett. She was receded in death by her husband, Clyde Ramsey and siblings: Elton Boyett, Jimmie Adams, and Tressie Proveaux.
She is survived by her children: Kaye Gamble of Mexia, TX, Steven Proffer (Michelle) of Olla, LA, Tammy Duplissey (Buster) of Columbia, LA and Lisa Nellums (Danyel) of Jacksonville, TX; siblings: Pauline Easterling, Ronnie and Donnie Boyett. Her grandchildren: Amanda Proffer, Tiffany Cruse, Coty Ingle, David Duplissey, Brett Duplissey, Lauren Kelly, Kelsey Shavers, Camisha Shavers, Amber Shavers, Brianna Shavers, Charley Shavers, Wrangler Shavers, and Wyndalyn Yeggins; and 17 great- grandchildren. She had a special friend in Mary Cotton. Mary will forever be a treasure as she has kept mom's precious dog, Anna. Special thanks to her friends Nancy Vines, Jessica Matthews, and Jonathon Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Coty Ingle, Brett Duplissey, James Cruse, Jonathan Kelly, Ryan George and Rodney George.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Meredith and Mike Brown.
